This competition is centered on affordable housing. It is open to undergraduates nationally. Workshops prepare students for the interdisciplinary challenge of creating a development based on a real-world site and project that makes economic and social returns for the community, residents, and development team. |
This invitation-only competition is held annually, during ICSC Las Vegas. Teams are made up of up to four undergraduate students from real estate programs across the U.S. and Canada. Students are given five days to tackle the case and prepare their presentation before traveling to Las Vegas to present to an esteemed panel of real estate judges and compete for $20,000 in prize money. |

The Mulroy Real Estate Challenge is a national real estate development case competition for students from the top undergraduate real estate programs. This Villanova School of Business hosted case competition will gather 16 teams comprised of the next generation of real estate leaders together with judges and sponsors representing leading real estate firms. The case will be a development project which incorporates all aspects of development from financing to design. Each participating team will be comprised of four undergraduate real estate students and a faculty or staff advisor. Student presentations will be judged by senior executives representing top firms from all areas of the commercial real estate industry. Finalist teams will be selected from groups of first round presentations to advance to the final round presentations. Cash prizes will be provided at a minimum of: $5,000 first prize; $3,000 second prize; and $2,000 third prize. | This competition gives students from around the world the chance to show off their talent to industry leaders. An invite-only competition, it is hosted by the Center for Real Estate and Finance and is the largest of its kind, drawing more than 120 undergraduate entrants and their faculty advisors worldwide. Many students come from colleges that offer entire courses preparing students for the event. |
