The Center for Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies is a research entity created in 1965 to focus attention on real estate issues. In addition to academic programs at all levels, the Center provides research support and administers a visiting scholar program, workshops, and conferences. The UConn Center for Real Estate is highly active in research, regularly publishing studies in top academic journals. The faculty’s work covers important topics like the effects of pollution on property values, new methods for estimating real estate prices, and the connections between real estate, the economy, and public health. They use advanced techniques, combining machine learning with traditional methods, to better understand real estate markets. Additionally, faculty members contribute to the field by editing journals and writing books on urban economics, real estate, and public policy. This makes the center a leading place for real estate research, providing useful insights for both academics and industry professionals.
