The Center for Real Estate organizes trips to nearby cities like Hartford, Boston, and New York, where students can experience real-world real estate scenarios and network with alumni and industry professionals. During these trips, students visit renowned real estate companies, attend presentations, ask questions, receive guidance, and make connections that can benefit their future job searches.

Recent Trips
Boston, Fall 2023
In October of 2023, students and faculty took an overnight trip to Boston where they spent two mornings touring companies in the area, including CBRE, Barings, and AEW. They also attended a real estate capital markets presentation led by professionals from TA Realty and Bank of America. In the evening, the Center hosted an Alumni and Friends Reception, where students, faculty, alumni, and industry friends all gathered to network and make connections. This trip gave students a deeper understanding of the Boston real estate market, and strategies employed by industry leaders.
New York City, Spring 2024
In November of 2023, students met with CBRE, Hartford and National Development for an industrial market overview of the distribution warehouses being built at Rentschler Field. Following the presentation, they toured one of the warehouses. Coming in at 1.2 million sq ft, this area is the size of approximately 22 football fields, or 250 Donovan Clingan’s, head to toe! These meetings and tours continue to allow our students to have more extensive conversations, gain a deeper understanding of the real estate market, and learn about the strategies employed in these developments.
East Hartford, Fall 2023
